Prof. (Dr.) Uma Shanker Sharan Shrivastav (b. 1961), International Institution of Management, Delhi, as its Director on 14th June 2008. Prof. Shrivastav is Academic Pandora of University- Colleges & AICTE approved education & as a great contributor in lighting the lamp in field of Academics- Doctoral & Post Doctoral Research and R & D of higher education. Prof. Shrivastav contributions are many varies in Academics – Industries- Administrative. Besides regular University teaching assignment load, he has had several prestigious assignments in various International Institutions-U.K., Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, & Canada.

At home too, he has worked for M. Phil & Ph.D. Scholars as supervisor & qualified approved Guide for M. Phil. & Doctoral Research on the panel Singania University, Mewar University, Rajsthan, J.H.U., GGIP University, Delhi, Lovely Professional University, Punjab, Shobhit University, UPTU, Institutes.

In published research works, he has authored- 5 books, and has made significant contributions (70 research papers in all to date) in various peer reviewed national & international journals, the areas include – Finance, International Trade & taxation. Prof. presented 60 papers in national & international conferences/ seminars floated by reputed organizations/ Universities included. He has been heavily involved in conducting Global B. schools & University educational matters academically.

Before Joining, Prof Shrivastav was Director & Professor in International Trade & Economics at SBIM, (M.D. Univesity college) Sonepat , GLA/RATM ( AGRA University) Mathura, Jaipuria Institute (UPTU) Ghaziabad, MM P.G. College Modinagar, (Meerut University) , CMD Modinagar at senior level of academician. Presently he has also on the panel of GGIP University, Delhi & JHU Delhi as expert member committee Board and Advisory Board of AICTE Institutes in U.P., Rajasthan Uttaranchal & Haryana on their panel Board.

After completion of P.G. Education from Allahabad University, he has selected for Doctoral Research under Fellowship of UGC programme & subsequently ICSSR Doctoral Research at central University B H. U. Varanasi. During this tenure, as R.A. & Economist his assignment was Teaching of University students (U.G./P.G. in Economics) of B.H.U, Varanasi, Vishaw Bharti University Calcutta, & for Research work associate with Institute of Economic Growth (D.Univesity), J. N. University, Delhi, NCAER, NIPFP, Delhi under project of World Bank Scheme under Guidance of Dr. Prof. R.P.L. Jain. Awesome respect of about 22 years experience in Academics, added 4 years senior cadre attached, dealing the Industrial growth spectrum of Export & Import matters for Corporate World through Govt. nominated Apex level of Chambers of Commerce & Industries - ASSOCHAM, FIMI, FICCI, DMA, AIMA, PHDCCI under rules of Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Central Govt. of India.

Prof. Shrivastav is an various committees Expert/Advisory Board Member of AICTE approved Institute & Universities as Expert –Examiner & Eminent - Professor & Ex - officio member & also on their panel of UPTU Colleges, U.P., RTU Institutes, Rajasthan, HSTEB Chandigarh, approved Institute, Haryana & University approved colleges under DEC guidelines (IGNOU) to assisted healthy Educational environment- regular & off campus programme. U.P.Besides regular teaching load, he has had several prestigious assignments in several educational institutes - U.K. Singapore, Canada, Vietnam, and Malaysia. Reputed organizations - Fulbright Foundation (USA), The British Council (UK), the Max Mueller Bhawan (Germany), sponsored to some of the academics assignments.

Concurrently, he has been involved in higher level of professional education & research assignments. He is a versatile & multitasked personality. One of his major contributions lies in the plan to set up of global B. School/ & University under U.G.C. AICTE norms & International tie up for the world class education system in India. In the absence of which, it was pretty difficult to position this Institute’s image in its proper perspective vis-à-vis its stakeholders. Needless to say, all above initiatives have gone a long way in placing the Institute on the global map as front turner, thereby further strengthening its brand image along- with upholding its philosophy and vision of International Institution of Management, Delhi, where presently Prof. Dr. Shrivastav associate.
